Hi, I'm Kristan Batts Chandler, and my journey to becoming an attorney has been as rewarding as it has been diverse. It all started at the University of Florida, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications. While there, I discovered my passion for law, a field that sparked something in me, leading me to pursue it as a career.
I went on to attend Barry University School of Law, where I not only developed a deep understanding of the legal system but also pushed myself academically to excel in every way I could. Graduating in 2019 was a proud moment for me, but it was just the beginning.
After law school, I dove headfirst into my career, first as a prosecutor and then working with a local law firm. I focused on business law, nonprofit law, and intellectual property law—areas where I could use my skills to help entrepreneurs and organizations succeed. By early 2023, I took a big step into personal injury law, following in my father's footsteps as the managing attorney. It felt like a natural fit, blending my legal expertise with a cause I could truly believe in.
But I knew there was more I could do, and that’s why, in September 2024, I decided to open my own firm—KB Law and Legal Services. Now, I provide legal consultations across the state of Florida, helping clients with trademark registration, nonprofit registration, and business formation. It’s an exciting new chapter, and I’m grateful to be in a position where I can shape my own practice while continuing to make a difference for those who need my help.
Although I'm originally from Marion County, Florida, I’ve spent most of my adult life in Orange County. This community means a lot to me, and giving back has always been important. Whether it’s through volunteer work or my involvement with my church, I’ve found that helping others is just as fulfilling as my work in the courtroom.
Outside of law and community service, I’m a huge sports fan. There’s nothing quite like cheering on the Miami Dolphins and enjoying the energy and excitement of football season—it’s one of my favorite ways to unwind.
Looking back, I’m proud of the journey I’ve taken—from student to prosecutor to business owner. But I’m even more excited about the future. My goal is simple: to continue using my legal expertise to help others while making a positive impact in both my profession and my community.
